Purpose The purpose of the Epilepsy Treatment Survey is to assess patient and physician attitudes toward treatment options, adverse effects, health care professional–patient relationships, and other information on epilepsy management.
Description The Epilepsy Treatment Survey (Ross et al., 2010) assesses patient and physician attitudes toward treatment options, adverse effects, health care professional–patient relationships, and other information on epilepsy management. This survey was developed for use in a European study of the level of satisfaction of patients and physicians in the management of epilepsy in general practice. There were 30 questions in the physician survey and 40 in the patient questionnaire, including multiple choice, unprompted volunteered responses, and "preference" questions using Likert scales to assess the magnitude of the response. Physician data were weighted to reflect the total population of physicians treating adults with epilepsy in the countries surveyed. Patient data were weighted to reflect the total population of adults with epilepsy in each country, based on current international census data and the estimated incidence of adult epilepsy within each country.

Purpose Rotter's Internal-External Control Scale was designed to assess whether people perceive reinforcement on preceding behavior as contingent on their own behavior or independent of it.
Description Rotter's Internal-External Control Scale (J. B. Rotter, 1966) was designed to assess whether people perceive reinforcement on preceding behavior as contingent on their own behavior or independent of it. The final version of the scale is a 29-item, forced-choice test including 6 filler items intended to make somewhat the purpose of the test more ambiguous. The items deal exclusively with subjects' belief about the nature of the world. That is, they are concerned with the subjects' expectations about how reinforcement is controlled. Consequently, the test is considered to be a measure of a generalized expectancy. Test data on the I-E scale were been obtained in a series of samples, and include the following. Item analysis and factor analysis showed reasonable high internal consistency. Test-retest reliability was satisfactory. The scale correlated satisfactorily with other methods of assessing the same variable such as questionnaire, Likert scale, interview assessments, and ratings from a story-completion technique. Reliability Internal consistency: Kuder-Richardson reliabilities ranged from .69 to .79. Test-retest reliability: Test-retest reliability for a 1-month interval ranged from .60 to .83, and .49 to .61 for a 2-month interval. The somewhat lower reliabilities for the 2-month period may be partly a function of the fact that the first test was given under group conditions and the second test was individually administered.
Validity Correlations of the I-E Scale with the Marlowe-Crowne Social Desirability Scale were obtained in a number of college student samples and typically ranged between -.07 to -.35.

Name Scales clues, 2006
Purpose Scales clues offers a standardized assessment of a participant's competence in information processing and decision making in a realistic online scenario.
Description Scales clues offers a standardized assessment of a participant's competence in information processing and decision making in a realistic online scenario. Application area: The instrument clues can be applied profitably in different diagnostic scenarios. These include sifting through applicants in online recruitment processes, attracting potential applicants for personnel marketing, diagnosis of potential in management development programs, assessment and selection of external applicants, and self assessment in the context of self driven development programs. Task: The task for a participant completing clues is to process the e-mail inbox of a project manager who has left the company suddenly. The processing of the e-mail inbox requires the participant to assign priorities to the e-mails and to react immediately to certain e-mails. The participant receives clear guidelines for processing the tasks from the manager of the project manager. According to these guidelines, there is only one correct solution for each e-mail to allocate one of the three priority options (low, middle, high) and each of the six action alternatives is more or less appropriate.
