Families, Systems, & Health welcomes qualified professionals to assist in the peer review process as ad hoc reviewers. Consistent with our action plan to improve equity, diversity, and inclusion, we especially welcome members of historically minoritized or excluded groups to participate in peer review.

Reviewers are vital to the publication process. The editorial team relies on the assessment of expert scholars in determining whether manuscripts should be accepted for publication.

Reviewers should have experience with publication as authors, keep up with the literature in their areas of expertise, and be willing to devote the time needed to complete high-quality reviews. If you are newer to peer review, find tips on reviewing online.

If you are interested in reviewing research submissions for Families, Systems, & Health, please complete the form onlineopens in new window and submit your CV so the editors can determine whether you are a good fit.

Families, Systems, & Health is also in need of peer reviewers for our medical humanities section, Sharing Our Stories, which publish narratives, poetry, haiku, and 55-word stories. If you are interested in becoming a reviewer for medical humanities submissions, please contact the section editors Hugh Silk or Jo Marie Reilly.
