Traumatology is a peer-reviewed journal that welcomes original and innovative research advancing understanding of psychological trauma across the lifespan. The journal publishes papers that develop and test theoretical models; examine psychological risk and protective factors associated with exposure to traumatic and stressful experiences, including childhood trauma, interpersonal trauma, disasters, and other adverse life events; develop and refine measurement and assessment tools; and generate evidence that informs the prevention, assessment, education, and treatment of trauma-related difficulties.
The editorial board is currently seeking debate pieces. In these articles, two authors with opposing views discuss a topic in that field (e.g., is complex post-traumatic stress disorder a useful diagnosis in clinical practice). A debate piece should be ten or fewer pages long.
Debate pieces are by invitation only and undergo peer review. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a debate piece, please email a brief description of your proposal and the names of the debate piece authors to Editor Thanos Karatzias, PhDopens in new window.
Authors of invited debate pieces will be asked to submit a formal manuscript through the journal’s submission portal.
There is no submission deadline for debate pieces.
