Project Assessment is a new online library that features assessment examples created by the participants at the 2016 APA Summit on National Assessment of Psychology held at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay.
Project Assessment includes tools that are aligned with the learning goals and outcomes described in the APA Guidelines for the Undergraduate Psychology Major: Version 2.0opens in new window (PDF, 447KB). In these goals-focused strategies, the examples identify, wherever possible, the following elements:
- The goals and corresponding indicators that can be measured.
- An overview that includes the nature of the course or courses in which the practice could be implemented.
- Formal assignment instructions.
- Grading rubrics.
In addition, Project Assessment also features resources and strategies that support the challenges of program level assessment at the associate and baccalaureate levels.
Please visit the Project Assessment website to register and explore. The registration is a two-step email verification process that requires you to authenticate your account via an automated email link. This registration email may go to your spam or junk folder. Please be sure to double check receipt of the sign-up email. This is a known issue, and APA is actively working on a solution.
Participate and get involved
Project Assessment is a beta site and we welcome your feedback. The site will be built and refined over time. We hope that these tools will be inspirational and spark creativity and new ideas. We are eager to learn about and share your experiences. Please consider writing a review of the resources you have used and share your results on our site.
Please consider submitting your best assessment ideas for possible inclusion in Project Assessment. The APA Committee on Associate and Baccalaureate Education will be convening a panel of reviewers for Project Assessment. The panel will be responsible for reviewing and curating new content for Project Assessment. For information about becoming a Project Assessment reviewer, contact Martha Boenau.
