Mitigating the impact of invalid responding to improve data quality in psychopathology and personality disorder research
Statistics and Data Collection
March 2023
This webinar will review ways in which self-report psychopathology and personality disorder questionnaire data collected for research purposes can be impacted by invalid responding, leading to inaccurate conclusions. Topics covered will include an overview of types of invalid responding and contexts in which they are likely to occur. Further, the presenter will highlight existing strategies that researchers can adopt to reduce the risk of drawing erroneous conclusions from low-quality data. Potential future directions for the development of new approaches to increase data quality will also be discussed.
