The unprecedented levels of uncertainty and stress being experienced across the country present many challenges, but also some unique opportunities for APA and the field of psychology to have a positive impact on society. Successfully addressing these challenges and capitalizing on these opportunities requires partnerships on multiple levels, including the critical relationships between APA and the State, Provincial and Territorial Psychological Associations (SPTAs). 2020 APA president, Sandra L. Shullman, PhD, 2021 APA president-elect, Jennifer F. Kelly, and CEO, Arthur C. Evans, Jr., PhD, discuss how APA and SPTAs can continue to work more effectively together going into 2021.
