The five candidates for APA’s 2018 president are responding to a series of questions in the June, July/August and September issues of the Monitor. Balloting begins Sept. 15 and the election closes on Oct. 31. For biographical information on each candidate and the candidates’ election statements, see the May Monitor. This month's questions are:

What concrete steps should APA take to enhance its science agenda (e.g., recognition of psychology as a STEM discipline; communication of the science of psychology)?

What is your vision for APA’s role in the global psychology community? How are you planning to further APA’s relationships in an international context?
