Substance Use Interventions for Every Psychologist
Health Behavior
November 2023
This webinar discusses accessible approaches to detecting and intervening for substance use disorder symptoms for psychologists who do not specialize in substance use disorder treatment. Discussion topics include alcohol and cannabis, as well as “harder” drugs like cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioids. The webinar focuses on Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), as well as psychotherapeutic strategies that can be used in the context of any setting in which a psychologist is offering care. Emphasis is placed on practical strategies that can be deployed immediately.
This program does not offer CE credit.
