Treating Eating Disorders: The Importance of an Interdisciplinary Approach Across the Spectrum of Care
Practice, Research & Resources With McLean Hospital
December 2023
Eating disorders can be challenging conditions to treat for several reasons, some of which include diagnostic difficulties, complications of psychiatric and medical comorbid conditions, or a lack of patient motivation or cooperation. Because of these challenges, clinicians are often reluctant to provide care to patients with eating disorders, which can further limit patients’ access to quality mental health care and worsen clinical outcomes. This free presentation provides the tools necessary for manageable and rewarding treatment of individuals with eating disorders.
