Transforming OCD Care in the Presence of Trauma and PTSD
Practice, Research & Resources With McLean Hospital
June 2025
The purpose of this presentation is to provide a balanced view on transforming OCD care amid trauma and PTSD.
Treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has traditionally been approached within specialized treatment silos. Emerging evidence indicates, however, that their co-occurrence is not uncommon and presents through multiple pathways.
This 1-hour session provides an overview of the current literature on this comorbidity, focusing on the impact of trauma and PTSD on OCD symptom presentation and treatment.
