As part of APA President Norine G. Johnson's Presidential Miniconvention, "Psychology Builds a Healthy World: New Markets, New Research," three distinguished psychologists will give presentations on building better workplaces, families and communities:

  • Susan Pick, PhD, on "Healthy sexuality for all: the role of psychology," Sunday, Aug. 26, 1 p.m.

  • William Pollack, PhD, on "Real boys, real girls, real parents: preventing violence through family connection," Saturday, Aug. 25, 9 a.m.

  • James Campbell Quick, PhD, on "Working together: balancing head and heart," Monday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m.

Here is a peek at Pollack and Quick's convention talks. (Pick's work in developing healthy sexuality programs was featured in the April Monitor.)

Building a healthy workplace
