APA is celebrating 125 years this year and the journal is commemorating this milestone with a special issue.
The inspiration came from the editorial team, who wished to acknowledge the links between game-changing articles that have influenced the research community in the past and contemporary works.
The main idea was to feature the work of nine contemporary research teams, while at the same time drawing readers' attention to their links with the classics.
